Bio for my new OC, Amaya Nightwish. Warning: it's long. The details kinda... came as I wrote this.

BASICS

FULL NAME: Amaya Nightwish
MEANING: Night rain.
NICKNAME: Maya, May, Ma, Etoile. Last one’s funny, actually, ‘cause her brother only calls her that, refuses to call her by her real name.
MEANING: Well, Etoile is star….
AGE/APPEARANCE: 16
BIRTHDAY: Erm… I dunno yet
ASTROLOGICAL SIGN:
SPECIES: Human, becomes a vampire.
GENDER: Female
ALLERGIES: Idiocy. ^^
SEXUAL PREFERANCE: Totally straight.
THEME SONG: Need suggestions. Open for anything music-related, lolz.

APPEARANCE

HAIR COLOR: Erm, the shorter part’s black, the longer dark purple.
HAIR STYLE AND LENGTH: Ooooh, boy…. Lessee, some of it’s about chin length and sorta feathery and all over the place. The rest goes to about her waist in a ragged cut.
EYES COLOR: Left is red, right is gray.
EYESIGHT: 20/20
HEIGHT: Uh, I’d say about 5 foot 7 inches. She be tall. ^^
WEIGHT: Very light. Like insanely light.
OUTFIT/CLOTHING STYLE: Uh, as a human, mostly baggy jeans and a form-fitting shirt (usually black/purple). As a vampire, though, a violet/blue off-the-shoulder belly button shirt with bell sleeves and a black/violet/blue plaid mini skirt. Never seen without combat boots.
ABNORMALITIES(TAIL): None.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS(SCARS,MOLES): A bite mark (two holes) on the left side of her neck, right above her clan tattoo. It’s a snake about to bite its tail with a yin-yang inside the circle and a curvy dagger.
SELF CARE(MAKE UP): Erm…. As a human, she doesn’t really bother, but as a vampire she normally has REALLY dark eyeshadow (purple or black) and black eyeliner.
FIRST IMPRESSION ON PEOPLE: Normally gets along well, unless you tick her off.
SKIN COLOR: Pale. We’re talking WHITE here, people!
BODY TYPE/BUILD: Nearly unhealthily skinny.
DEFAULT EXPRESSION: None really. More of a defiant look if anything.
POSTURE: She kinda slouches as a human, but vampire Amaya is as straight as possible. She likes showing off how well-behaved she is in the clan.
MEASUREMENTS(FEMALE ONLY): …I’m not gonna bother with this….
PIERCINGS: Lessee… Sixteen on each ear (counting an ear clasp as two here), her chin (only one), nose (again one), and eyebrows (one on left, two on right). Her bellybutton is also pierced, but only vampires ever see it, lolz.
DESCRIBE THEIR VOICE: I guess it’s basically a mix of Pauley Perrette and Amy Lee. Kinda average, not really high or low.

RELATIONSHIPS

MOM: Hoshi Nightwish, stay at home mom, age 28 (when she died).
HOW WELL DO THEY GET ALONG: They were best friends, and due to that Amaya’s relationship with her dad has been ruined after her mom’s death.
DAD/STEP-DAD: Raiden Nightwish, who knows what the heck he does, age 40.
HOW WELL DO THEY GET ALONG: It’s like this. He hates her. She hates him. She’s trying her best to stay away from him. He’s trying his best to find her and kill her. Fortunately, she’s got some undead back-up now.
VAMPIRE DAD: Eiji, works at a blood bank and has the night job of stealing back his clan’s property from a rival clan, eternally 33, really 44.
HOW WELL DO THEY GET ALONG: Not too well, at first. She hated him and thought he’d be just like her real dad. He proved her wrong and basically became a replacement daddy, and just as much of a friend as her mom was.
SIBLINGS: Katnao Nightwish, 14
HOW WELL DO THEY GET ALONG: They’re all each other has until Eiji bites them both. He gets on her nerves sometimes, but whenever he’s in trouble, her “mother hen” instincts kick into full gear.
VAMPIRE SIBLINGS: Mamoru (22), Yuji (18), Ryo (17), and Yasuo (16)
HOW WELL DO THEY GET ALONG: With Mamoru, she’s really great friends from the start. After all, they knew each other before. Yuji, she thinks he’s kinda a jerk but realizes it’s his way of being protective of her. Ryo becomes a best friend right away, and she debates setting him up with one of her friends. Yasuo is really quiet, so she immediately likes him and often goes to him for help on her homework since they’re in the same classes.
CHILDREN: Uh, no.
HOW WELL DO THEY GET ALONG: She has no children.
OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS: None. At all. Anywhere. She lives in a frickin’ orphanage!
PAST LOVA(S): Used to have a crush on Mamoru, and Ryo when she first met him.
CURRENT LOVA: None.
REACTION TO MEETING SOMEONE NEW: She’ll probably be thinking of ways to escape if things don’t go well, but she’ll act friendly.
ABILITY TO WORK WITH OTHERS: If you’re not an idiot, she’s fine.
HOW SOCIABLE(LONER,ETC): Pretty sociable, but very suspicious of guys.
FRIENDS: Chikako, and possibly Tadashi later on.
PETS: Mamoru has a puppy, but she doesn’t have a pet yet.

BELIEVE IN GHOSTS: Not really. Though given her new status….

SOFT SPOT/VULNERABILITY: Katnao, Mamoru, Chikako, anything relating to her dad (more vulnerability, not soft spot).
OPINION ON SWEARING: Well, normally only in Japanese….
DAREDEVIL VS CAUTIOUS: Daredevil.
MUSIC TYPE: Any kind of rock (metal, death metal, classical, normal, etc.)
MOVIE TYPE: Mostly action/adventure and mysteries. Never romances, and sci-fi flicks kinda tick her off now with how utterly incorrect they are, lolz!
BOOK TYPE: Any kind, though no romance. Ever.
GAME TYPE: So long as she can virtually kill enemies, it’s fine.
COMFORTABLE TEMPERATURE: Prefers the cold, but will take either.
SLEEPING PATTERN: Sleeps normally, but often seen not sleeping at all.
CLEANLINESS/NEATNESS: Neat. Not OCD neat, but pretty close.
DESIRED PET: Wants a birdie. Or a falcon. A falcon’s good. ^^
HOW DO THEY PASS TIME: Schoolwork, trying to think of new ways to torture her brothers, teasing Katnao, practicing martial arts with Mamoru, reading.
BIGGEST SECRET: Vampire. Duh.
HERO/WHO THEY LOOK UP TO: Maybe her mom, but not really.
WHAT ANIMAL WOULD THEY BE: Some kinda falcon, I’m sure.
FEARS: That her father will find her, that Raiden or Osamu will kill Katnao or her new brothers, that Eiji will actually follow through with his original plan and kill her and Katnao (this one she eventually gets over).
COMFORTS: Being around her brothers and friends, having a home where people actually care for her.

WHAT ROLE WOULD THEY BE IF THEY WERE IN…

ROMANCE MOVIE: Uh, the best friend who sets up the two main characters.
ACTION MOVIE: The kick-ass heroine.
CARTOON: Again.
HORROR MOVIE: The vampire that’s sucking everyone’s blood and eventually wins in the end (yeah, right, that movie would never be made!).
PORNO: Uh, no.
PRINCESS BRIDE: Well, definitely not Buttercup. Maybe a female version of Inigo. (Hello, my name is Amaya Nightwish. You killed my mother. Prepare to die!)

HOW DO THEY ACT WHEN THEY ARE…

SAD: Basically depressed. Normally, only Katnao or Mamoru can pull her out of it.
HAPPY: A lot less tense, and less likely to curse you out in Japanese. Smiling a lot, and, well, really obviously happy.
ANGRY: Combat boot meets shins. Ouch!
AFRAID: She’d deny anything, except if it has to do with dear old Daddy.
LOVE SOMEONE: Uh, probably more klutzy than normal around them.
HATE SOMEONE: Glares. Kicks. Speaks in monosyllabic sentences.
WANT SOMETHING: Begs, pleads, and annoys the hell outta people until she gets it.
CONFUSED: Stares at you and thinks how much of an idiot you are, even though she’s the one standing there cluelessly.

DANGER: PROTECT KATNAO! Oh, and get Mamoru to fix it. If that doesn’t work, ATTACK!
SOMEONE THEY HATE WHO HAS A CRUSH ON THEM: Combat boot gets slammed up between the guy’s legs.
DEATH OF LOVED ONE: Totally depressed. Totally. Still getting over her mom’s death, after all.

HISTORY

BIOGRAPHY: Moved to a small town in America from Japan. Her mother died the first year she was there, and her father left them. She and her brother were sent to an orphanage where they unknowingly met a younger Mamoru and a few of the other vampires BEFORE they all were turned. Became a vampire trying to protect her brother from Kaitou Eiji, who wasn’t really gonna hurt them.
FIRST APPEARANCE: First Chapter

KNOWLEDGE

LANGUAGES: Japanese, English, German, Latin.
SCHOOLING LEVEL: Junior in high school.
FAVORITE SUBJECT: Math, Physics/Science.
EXPERTICE: Martial arts, math, sciences.
PUZZLES: Very, very good. But that doesn’t mean she can figure out the puzzle of all the vampire clans’ hatred for each other.
CHEMISTRY: Insanely good at it.
MATH: Also insanely good at it.
ENGLISH: Pretty good, mostly in the writing parts, not so much testing (how’s she supposed to remember minute details of books while writing one herself?).
GEOGRAPHY: Bad. She knows where Japan is, and she knows where America is. You do NOT want her driving a car anywhere. You WILL get lost.
POLITICS/LAW: Normally sleeping, but Yasuo is in the class with her and won’t let her anymore.
ECONOMY/ACCOUNTING: The accounting she’s fine with, but she hates economy.
COOKING: Horrible. She can mix chemicals, but not foods. EVER.
SEWING: She is good at it, so long as she puts her mind to it. Other than that, ehhh….
MECHANICS: She’s okay with it, and has to be with five brothers who are in love with it!

MYTHOLOGY: Even before she was a vampire, she loved mythology. She’s only upset ‘cause some of it’s false.
